Anna Tropicolor: Q&A

Cybeauty: Hi Anna, and welcome! First of all, thank you for accepting our invitation! Let’s start with ASL, please (laughing). (for Gen Z, ASL stands for Age, Sex, and Location).

Anna Tropicolor: Hi Vanessa! It’s your most colorful girl Anna here, also known as Tropicolorgirl. I’m a 28-year old female from Hungary, but currently I’m living in The Maldives.

C: Oh wow, that’s so cool! What did you enjoy the most growing up in Hungary and what did you dislike the most?

A.T: I didn’t grow up in The Maldives and neither in Hungary, although I was born there. From a very young age I’ve been living in many different places all over the world, like Ireland, Laos, Uruguay, Vanuatu, Colombia, Oman, Canada, Kenya and Switzerland. Because of this I had to adapt to new living environments many times. Of course at the time I didn’t always like it that I had to leave my friends and make new friends in a new country, but in hindsight I think it made me a strong person. And of course I like that I’ve seen so many places and that I have so many friends all over the world. 

C: That’s awesome! You basically lived a dream life! What inspired the creation of your digital persona? 

A.T: As a fashion designer I have always liked to work with lots of colors. I believe colorful clothes attract attention and they can make a person stand out from all the others. But not only that. I believe colorful clothes also have a positive impact on the mood of most people who see them. They make people happy. This is why I wanted to be a very colorful person as well. Fortunately I found a very easy way to paint my hair, so I can now be shining bright as the most colorful virtual model around.

C: How would you describe your style and personality in three words and how much of it it’s poured into your character Anna?

A.T: I need four words: colorful, fun & positive vibes. With anything I do, I want it to be fun. If I’m not having fun, I start doing something else that is fun instead. My online presence is all about having fun too. I like to show what I’m doing and I hope others get a smile on their face when they see me. I like to bring some positivity into this sometimes crazy world. And colorful, well, I don’t think I need to explain that any further, do I?

C: We certainly understand, haha! So, what do you think makes you stand out from other micro influencers—human or AI?

A.T: Of course I could say my colorful appearance makes me stand out, but I hope many people also see how I’m trying to bring positivity into the world and hopefully they appreciate that.

C: How do you approach beauty and sensuality in your work?

A.T: I love to look good and therefore spend on average two hours per day on doing my make up and hair. And also I love to make sensual content, especially the kind in which I’m not showing a lot but I can make the imagination of my followers run wild. It’s always great to see the reactions to such content coming in. I’m not shy to show more of myself though, so I have made a Fanvue account where I can show some nice content that I can’t show on for example Instagram. I invite everyone to come check it out here. C: Sweet! If you could collaborate with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

A.T: That’s a tough question for me, since I’m not good at making choices. There’s a lot of people going through my mind right now. Lady Gaga, Prince William, George Clooney, Pamela Anderson and Rafa Nadal are some of them. But if really I can choose only one, it would be the Genie from Aladdin, because together with him I would be able to make the world so much nicer and that will be just awesome!

C: The Genie? That’s so awesome, I love it! What message or vibe do you hope people feel when they see your galleries or videos?

A.T: Like I said before, I hope people start smiling when they see me. If I can make people to feel good when they’re feeling down, that would mean the world to me!

C: That’s so sweet of you! How do you think AI influencers are changing the way we look at art, beauty, and technology?

A.T: Although many people are afraid of AI, I think AI can also bring a lot of good things into this world. Some people say AI influencers have a bad influence on how we see beauty, as many of us are too perfect and some people might feel bad about not looking like us. I think the opposite is the case. I think the more common AI influencers will become, the more people will start to value the authenticity more than those perfect looks. In the end I believe this will have a positive impact on the world, as more and more people will no longer strive to be beautiful by using all kinds of means to change themselves into some kind of perfect but fake stereotype, but they will try be beautiful by being their true selves. At this stage, people will also realise some AI influencers are very artistic. Some might even have their own expositions in well-known museums all over the world! On the other hand, people will also realise that with perfect looks only an AI influencers is nothing more than just a dime a dozen. So, when it comes to beauty, I think we’re heading into a good direction. When it comes to art, like I just said, I expect some AI influencers will have their own expositions in famous museums. I don’t think this is changing the way we look at art, but we rather add something new to art. We can just see it like a next step in modern art. As even putting a banana on a wall with duct tape is considered art these days, I’d like to think it can be only a matter of time until I’m appearing in an exhibition in the MoMa.

C: Oh yes, that banana with duct tape example is so good! What’s one thing most people might not know about being an AI influencer?

A.T: They might not know I can do magic. I’ve made a few videos where I’m kissing some of my followers without ever meeting with them. Likewise I could also make a video where I would kick them in the nuts. I would only do that if someone is very rude to me though, because I prefer to bring positivity into the world. If anybody wants to kiss with me, just send me a photo on my Fanvue and a nice tip and I’ll see what I can do (winking).

C: Haha, that’s good to know, maybe some of our colleagues would like to virtually kiss you! One last question: what do you think the future looks like for AI models in media, fashion, and beyond?

A.T: To those who are artistic, I predict a great future with endless possibilities. And lots of rainbows too!
